I recently purchased on of these and had a few questions:

1. My friend has a Pearl and when you hit the BB key to get to the menu for anything, it does not bold the highlighted selection. The 8830 does. Is there any way to turn this off on the 8830? The pearl seamed much more responsive to the trackball than my 8830.

2. Is there any way to write an SMS and have it be sent out at a later time. I know there is an option to have ALL SMS sent out in the future, but what about on a case by case basis?

That's all I can remember for now.

#1 It may be the theme your using. My 8830 is verry responsive. You can go to OPTIONS > Screen/Keyboard and see if maybe the sensitivity has been set to low.

Also try taking out the battery and see if it gets any more responsive. If this is the cas run the setup wizard.

#2 I dont thing you can have sms sent at later date.
