Default Calendar Notifications not working - 06-11-2007, 06:33 PM

I just got a verizon 8830, and I can't get the calendar notifications to work (so the phone beeps 15 mins before an appointment). I have checked to make sure the volume is on an such. I even called verizon and they had me completely reset my blackberry. That fixed the problem for one day.

I think this issue may have started again when I used the sync with my outlook.

just be mindful, by deleting cical service book, you will loose some capabilities on your calendar...there are a couple of posts out there that will break down the specifics...I suggest that you do a quick search before deleting cical

Okay, I know I'm pointing out the completely obvious, but I've had some of my users with this same problem. You do have a notification set on the appointment, right? And check your profile also to make sure that it's not set to a tone+mute.

I'm seeing the same issue with one of my users and had them take out the battery and I verified that there is a sound setting set for the appointments, and I also veriffied there is a reminder and still no notifications are coming.

Any other ideas?

If you download the latest software from Verizon (located in the sticky at the top of the 8800 series page) it might fix this problem. Worth a shot at least...
