Default Opera Mini - 06-18-2007, 07:53 PM

After reading about the nice capabilities of the Opera mini browser-downloaded -easy-then when trying to open -just gets stuck "loading" . Have to shut BB off, then when turning back on " Uncaught Exception: Application operette$2dhifi$2dus(465) is not responding; process terminated."
Has anyone been able to install on 8800? If so, anything needs to be done?
And if running, any good?
thanks

This happened with earlier versions of the 4.2.1 OS on other models as well. I believe it will be fixed with an OS update but I don't think the update is out for the 8800 yet.

Thanks for the quick response. I still wonder how others felt about the Browser on BBs that could install the earlier version of Opera mini.
It works well as the Browser on the kids Wii.

I had no trouble with v 3.1.7 on my 8830.

Thanks, the v4 beta looks cool. However, I can't get it to finish installing. I downloaded it, and got to the EUL page, which says to choose "Accept." Sounds simple, but I can't figure out how to do that. Clicking the track ball does nothing. When I push the menu button, I only get the option to "Exit", there's no selection for "Accept." There's no link on the web page that I can see. Am I missing something? Thanks for any tips.

Sorry, I'm dense, or a noob, or both. Scroll down where or how? I'm on the EUL page in Opera with "Accept" in the lower right corner. The Menu button gives me "Exit", and no scroll there. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page. There was no link, and space bar did nothing. I'm clearly still missing something. Thanks for your help, and please excuse my apparent thick-headedness.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Just as a side not for everyone. This beta of opera will and does work with the Rogers OS. The 4.2.1.90 one.
