Default Where to find this driver? - 06-20-2007, 09:03 AM

I received an 8800 for Father's Day and have been excited to set it up. However, when I tried to install the desktop manager software on my work desktop, I get a message saying that I need this file - RimUsb_AMD64.sys - from the installation CD. Needless to say, the file is not on the CD. I did a Google search for the file name with no luck, searched the Blackberry site without success and also searched this forum without any luck.

If anyone knows where I can download this file in order to complete the setup of my new device, I would appreciate it. My work computer is a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a Pentium 4 and 1 GB RAM running XP Pro x64 Edition. Thanks for any help you can provide.

What version of DM are you installing?

**EDIT** try downloading it directly from here BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software | Applications to Synchronize Your BlackBerry and Desktop Data

Unfortunately, I do not have the CD with me now at work, so I'm not sure which version of DM it is. Would it be better to download a version directly from BB?
