I have done some searches and have not been able to find my answer.

When I send an email, it automatically does the spell check before it sends the email.

I want it to spell check my sms or "texts" as well automatically but I cannot seem to locate that feature. I can run spell check and then manually select send for my sms, but I was looking for the automatic feature.

Any help is appreciated.

Well, think about it.
Most SMS messaging out there is done on regular cell phones. Would you want spell check trying to interpret all of the current "texting" lingo? LOL

I wish the 8800 had a spell check.

I agree with BrittonX on this one. SMS texting generally uses a form of street slang that spell checkers would choke on. On a BlackBerry this may be made worst by the 160 character limit.

Any known way around that limit?

I heard a rumor that VZW has disabled that feature and will be coming out with a subscription based SMS spell checker for $10/mo.
