When I try to search for a contact I cant find it. But if they call, or I type in their email in an email, I can open the menu and get contact details. I use BES. I delted the entrie address book, and directly synced contacts via USB. Everything works. I then went back to BES and the problem emerged again.

I think the Index keeps getting corupted some how.

Also, when I reboot (i.e. Battery) it takes about 45 minutes of spining hour glass to get the screen back.

Are you trying to search for a contact in the address book or the phone app? When you first go into the address book it should display ALL of your contacts. Typing any portion of a name will reduce the list to only matching entries.

Try to edit a contact in the BB address book. Are the first & last name and company fields in the right spot, i.e. is the first name in the first name field or some other field?

45 minutes is WAY too long to reboot after a battery pull. Maybe you do have something corrupt in your address book. If you have a BES administrator, hit them up with this problem.

I know how to search for a contact. My list however only shows a fraction of the actual contacts in the database. My BES administrator is not being helpful.
