the "voice dialing" icon will not go away. how do i get rid of it? (vzw 8830)

so i had the phone lock up on me...dialing out and receiiving a call at the same time. i removed the battery, but the "voice dialing" icon is still showing under the time. any suggestions?

You can hide the icon. Scroll to the icon, press the menu key (left of trackball) and select "Hide Icon".

You should be able to hide the icon on the home screen.
