Default verizon and msn - 07-29-2007, 07:55 PM

well i recently switched to a 8830 on verizon i had them for many years for cell phone and while their cell phone service i'm very pleased with, i came to a lil problem

i was looking for msn chat clients for the 8830 then i stumbled upon a site, www.blackberry.com/livemessenger now, on my desktop i cant download the software, so i put the address in my bb, went to the site i get a download box, i click it and says " Sorry, your wireless Service Provider does not allow access to Windows Live Messenger for your device"

is it worth looking into a 3rd party app or just drop verizon once and for good?

any idea's? i tried to seach on this matter but i found nothing in this forum, and please excuse my spelling

tks

hehe... I tried IM+ It works great, even has MySpace.

I know it costs but im ok with that as you can use most popular IM services and the interface is very nice. Its like having trillian on your phone (which also costs).

You can try for free! I havent paid for it yet, hell I didnt even see how long the trial lasts but I have used it for a week now non-stop.

Another option would be jivetalk. It is superior to IM+ IMO, and I think most users who have used both will agree. ALso, you can get it for as cheap as $20. IM+ costs $50 I believe. Also, there is a 30 day free trial.
