captor, have your call logs been erased?

Have you looked also at Messages > View Folders > Call Logs.

I have some old calls listed but I cannot scroll through them, however the call logs are listed in messages, but this does not seem logical, why are the calls listed in messages and not in the call log ?

thanks in advance

Phone Dialer > Options > Call Logging: set to your desire.

Go to the screen where you would DIAL a phone call. Click menu for OPTIONS.

The make it NONE if you want NO calls in your message list.

or set it to MISSED if you only want the missed calls in your message list.

I have done that however if I receive a call it is not listed in my call log and I cannot scroll down the list - maybe I have a software glitch !

Maybe you do have a glitch.

Pull the battery and reboot the BB and see if it clears it up.

Good luck.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

My next suggestion before the battery pull would have been to check available memory in Status.

Glad you got 'er solved though!

No glitch. That is how it works. A full record of all calls inbound, outbound, missed is in with Messages and not in Call Log.

If you take option them out of Messages, they don't appear in Call Log, you just lose them. Doesn't make sense to me either.. but pressing Alt-P while viewing Messages just shows the ones related to the Phone.
