Default Device lock/GPS usage - 08-17-2007, 11:52 AM

IT Policy locks our BB's after 15 mins inactivity. Anyway to get around this while running GPS? The screen locks but the voice directions continue.

thanks
Mark

Talk to your IT department about it.

Policies can be continually pushed to the devices. So even if you find a way around it, the policy will come back eventually unless they make an exception for you.

You may want to post in the BES Admin section to see if anyone in that forum can assist. I am thinking that it is a global setting, and not per application. I guess you could change it just for your BlackBerry.

Exactly. Just disable the timeout on your device.

Mine has a 20 min lockout. Not much you can do about it. If they have that security feature, they are unlikely to change it. Choose an effective 4 letter password that is easy to input.
