Default Verizon wirless banner at the top? - 08-18-2007, 01:15 AM

I was roaming with my phone in spain and whatever service i had it said for example Vodaphone ES on the top of the screen with GPRS in bold. when i got back to LA i had the lower case 1xev for a long time but was accessing email/data fine but no verizon wireless on the top. under manage connections i see verizon wireless in red so i am guessing everything is fine? oh and i finally got 1XEV all uppercase

Not jet lagged. When you're overseas the GPRS radio kicks in and indicates the network you're on. CDMA radio just wasn't setup to indicate the carrier.
