Question trackball unlock? - 08-19-2007, 04:49 PM

when i try to unlock my 8830, i press the trackball and it brings up the unlock, emergency call, cancel menu. then if i press the trackball again to unlock it it gives me the "the keypad is locked press * send to unlock". how do i make it so that i can use just the trackball to unlock it?

This has been posted about many times. This is just how the new 4.2 OS's work.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Its not to hard IMO. I kinda like how it is.

Agreed, it's very easy on the trackball phones to press the trackball twice to unlock the phone and when it's in a pocket or in the holster pressed against a seatbelt, etc. The two key unlock removes the ease at which this can happen (which is a LOT easier with the trackball than the wheel, especially in the holster when you're squeezed into a tight space.)

It's kinda of a pain at first but like most things you adjust, get used to it and do it without thinking.
