With the new upgrade designed to resolve another problem - let's not go there - I try to install some images through Media Manager and get this error message:

Program C:\program Files\Roxio\Media Manager 9\mediamanager9.exe
This application has requested The RUNTIME to terminate it in an unusual way.

No one at BB or Roxio is addressing this issue. Answers anyone?

I have v4.2.148 on my BB and I am not seeing any problems.

iam having the same problem, anybody have a fix for this

I had Roxio loaded and it caused nothing but problems. I "downgraded" to previous version of the BB Desktop and all is well now.

I am having the same problem. I have Verizon BB8130. When I try to start media manager I get that error. The specifics say this: AppName: mediamanager9.exe AppVer: 9.4.1.2 ModName: msvcr71.dll
ModVer: 7.10.6030.0 Offset: 00030654

The newer version 4.3 downloaded from RIM answered the questions for me. But I uninstalled 4.2 rebooted and went to the Research in Motion folder and deleted all the contents and deleted the folder. And did a clean install of version 4.3 and the issues stopped.

FOUND THE SOLUTION! I just spend two hours on the phone with T-Mobile and blackberry support. This is how you fix it.

I removed the entire Roxio folder but you can just do the manager folder...

1. Close all open applications, especially Roxio applications. if the device manager is set to open on startup disable it. (right click on the BB device Manager next to the clock and uncheck the box at the bottom.) Restart your computer.

2. DO NOT OPEN THE DEVICE MANAGER.

3. Open 'my computer'

4. Double click on the 'C:' drive and browse to 'C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Roxio' where 'USERNAME' is the name of the user you are currently logged in as. (if you don’t see the folder it is either hidden or you are using redirects) you can look up how to unhide files and folders someplace else. And your sys admin will know where the redirects are going if you are on a business network.

5. Right click on the 'MediaManager' folder and choose rename

6. Call the folder 'MediaManager.old'

7. Now try launching the Media Manager

worked perfectly for me.
