Question Tech Inquiry! - 08-21-2007, 10:58 AM

Hello Guyz

I have bought my 8800 Cingular (Unlocked) and i'm using it out of USA. The phone is working with no issues at all However, i'm facing issues with creating my BlackBerry Service account. Whenever i enter my
PIN & IMEI i get the following error message: :

This blackberry is registered with a different service provider. please re-register this blackberry and verify the URL matches the one provided by your service provider.

I have contacted my service provider and they still dind't resolve the issue! From your experince do you think that i have a chance in getting the BB service running or its a hopless case!!! Can Cingular do anything to resolve this issue like unregister or something?? B'coz i have chatted with the online support and they refused to support as long as i don't have a plan with them.

Thanks

Did you have a BIS account set up with Cingular? If so, you will need to cancel it before you establish one with your current carrier. Also I assume that your current carrier has BB data services?
