Default 8830 Help Customizing Profiles - 08-21-2007, 06:49 PM

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I thought I had it figured out, but I reckon not.

I'm trying to change my Email alerts. I'm using the "Loud" profile, which is the one I'm trying to edit. Steps I've taken.

1. Profiles

2. Scroll to Advanced.

3. Highlight "Loud (Active), and press the menu button.

4. Click edit.

5. Scroll to and select Messenger - Alert.

6. From there I changed it to Tone only, changed the Tune, and lowered the volume to Medium.

7. Pressed the Escape key, and saved when prompted.

I repeated steps 5-7 for "Messenger - New Message" also.

My customized selections aren't happenin'.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

You stated you were trying to change the "Email" alert. Each account has it's own entry "Messages[desktop]", "Messages[xxx@blackberry.net]". Edit an account and then test it.

If you changes and tested the Messenger it will apply to the BB Messenger program only not your add-ons. Lastly....you sure the edited profile is active?
