Default 8830 SSL for E-Mail? - 08-30-2007, 08:39 AM

I recently setup BES on our Exchange server.

I WAS able to connect my boss's 8830 successfully.

My boss is complaining that only 90% of his emails are going through. I am wondering if there is some kind of authentication issue between his phone and the server?

a couple things to note:

his username is unique. its setup as "john doe" instead of "jdoe" like other users. so when i connect to our server i need to use the domainname/john doe format instead of just jdoe.

Also we do not currently use any type of SSL security for the server.

Thanks in advance for any help!

What version of BES are you running? Have you checked the status of his BB on the BES? When was the last contact time? How many emails has the BES forwarded? You can use this to compare with his outlook inbox, and see if it is a BES issue or a hand held issue.

You may want to see if the handheld is actually filing the email, say into his saved email.
