Hi,
I don't mean to come off as a silly female but I have a question that I am hoping I can get answered here. I follow the threads when I get the opportunity much of this is very interesting to me. But, some of it is way over my head too so I hope no one gets offended at my questions.
I bought my first BlackBerry a couple of months ago at a great online store. They were very patient with me, answered all my questions, etc. I got an 8830 (my husband said it had to be verizon since that is our provider). Anyway, it was going great until one day I could not use the Voice Dial function (something about not enough resources). I wasn't sure what to do about it so I tried to find any open apps and make sure they were closed. That didn't help and next thing I know when I would be in the browser looking at a website the links would not open any more. It started saying "service unavailable". Hmm..well, after cursing out loud at Verizon, I called
wirelessBYeAccess where I got the phone. The guy was very nice and started giving me this huge explanation of what I did wrong. I listened and understood enough to know that he was telling me I had too many apps open. So, I took the battery out and rebooted it and it is working fine now. BUT, I am afraid it is going to happen again, so here are my questions (and please answer in layman terms).
1.) Is there any way to find out which applications are open at any given time?
2) Is there a global "close all applications" function?
3) I turn off the BlackBerry and charge it every night so why doesn't this close all applications?
Thank you very much to anyone that can shed some light on this for me, I appreciate it very much. I really DO want to learn more about my BlackBerry and how to more fully use it.
Dawn
