So I have 3 email accounts that I use regularly: GMAIL, school, and company (plus, the cingular one, but I rarely use that one).

Currently, I have GMAIL setup so that it 1) downloads the email from the School and Company accounts, and 2) allows me to send as those addresses (not just from ). This makes it easy for me to just check one email account and see all my emails, instead of individually checking 3 servers!

I also setup my AT&T BIS account so that these accounts are all listed, but it doesn't poll them to get email, since everything essentially comes through my GMAIL account now.

However, when I get my gmail pushed to my Blackberry, I cannot REPLY from a different email address. Say, that I get an email from School, since Gmail downloaded it and BIS pushed it as a GMAIL email - it won't let me REPLY as School, which is kinda the whole point.

Plus, I just got to school and am thinking of using Outlook, so that will make things even more complicated. I read something about Blackberry Mail Connector at Methods of Receiving Email on BlackBerry - BlackBerryFAQ. Is this still available?

For those of you out there that have multiple email accounts, and use Outlook - what is the best way to setup your accounts, outlook and BIS so that there is minimal duplicate email deletions and maximum functionality (you can reply as anyone, etc).

Try removing your other accounts from Gmail.

Since Gmail is grabbing the new messages, by the time BIS check there's no new messages.

Good idea, but i often like typing messages on the computer when I'm home and hate checking 3 separate email accounts!

You should set up each individual account in BIS. Assuming your school allows POP3 and/or IMAP set up your school account there, also.

Make sure when you set up in Outlook that you select "Leave Mail on Server" so it will be available on the BB and Outlook. You should do the same for your other accounts.

You can receive all of you email accounts in Outlook if you like, similar to the forward in GMail. Check the web for how to set up Outlook. Your school probably has directions as well, if you are not familiar with how to do it.

If I do this setup - won't I have duplicate emails on my outlook? Say I am out and I get emails from BIS - then I get home, I'll have to sift through the same emails, right? Is there anyway to sync, especially for deletions? Plus, if I leave the mail on each server, how would I delete emails so that the respective servers don't get tons of mail (so if i delete on outlook - is there a way for it to "talk" to the individual servers and delete them there too?)

The only way to reconcile is via BES which you can get for an extra fee from mailstreet, exchangemymail or other similar providers. You can't sync email.

You set up the server to delete after so many days. But it will only download to the application or BB once.

Arg..there is nothing I an just run on my computer that would do it? Like redirector or something?

Also, guessing that if I do mailstreet, exchangemymail or whatever, I'll have to upgrade to the BES package from AT&T, which I believe is more expensive than the BIS one, right? $9.99 seems a bit high..I would consider this if it were like $5 a month.

I would encourage you to set it up on BIS and try it. For the situation that you describe -- getting an email on the BB while your desktop machine is turned off, and presumably deleting that message on the BB and requesting deleting from the server -- I find that about 80% do end up getting deleted on the server and never appear on my desktop. Not perfect, I know, but not too bad.

You may also want to set up a situation where any message sent from the BB is blind copied to one of your accounts, with a filter defined at BIS so that messages from yourself are not looped back to the BB. This will allow you to keep an audit trail of important communications. For my business, this audit trail is crucial, and this is one short cut way to get it on BIS.

As for redirector, it does not get rave reviews.

I don't recommend redirector at all.

I've been looking for a similar solution. I run 4 different email addresses into gmail and like to use the different reply as features. I've currently got each of the addresses set up in BIS, but because I use the single gmail account as a spam filter, I'm running into lots of spam in my BB that is being received before it hits gmail.

Has anyone found a solution to having multiple "reply as" identities under one email account in the blackberry?
