Default Reconciling Messages with Desktop.... - 09-14-2007, 11:29 AM

Does anyone know why this is greyed out on my DM? It will synch the calendar and tasks to my Outlook but I can't get it to sync anything else. I have added them to sync under the configurations too.

Does this have something to do with BIS and BES....neither of which I fully understand.

Help! I'm a noob!

Blackberry doesn't "sync" messages. You can't get messages from Outlook to the BB using Desktop Manager. You can setup your email in BIS and then emails will arrive on the device but you won't get old ones unless you resend them to yourself.

Contacts, Calendar, Memo Pad, and Tasks will sync via Desktop Manager unless you are on a BES. Then they will sync wirelessly with your Outlook/Exchange server. If they're greyed out then likely you are syncing wirelessly with the server.
