My 8830 keeps turning off and on while charging with the wall charger???? It will dim off, then the led light turns red then the led light goes off and the blackberry will light up and looks like it is trying to find a signal again, will also show the data transfer arrows then repeat the steps all over again. am I making sense?

Have you pulled the battery for about 30 seconds? Also, do you have a spare charger you could test with and possibly a spare battery?

Sounds like a bad charger or worst a short in the connector. If it is under 30 days return it ASAP
