Trying to find a shortcut for getting to the end of a text line without using the trackball

No, sorry. There is no shortcut equivalent to clicking the End key on your PC's keyboard.

You can scroll the trackball down to get to the end of the entire message.

When I am reading email, I press 1 to go to top of page, 7 to go to bottom. 3 to go up one page, 9 to go down one page, 2 to go up one line, and 8 to go down one. I dont think this helps in a line that you are editing because it will just insert the key into the field. This works only when previewing text ... like in an email.
