Default Outlook Sync Issue 8800 - 09-16-2007, 09:43 PM

I have upgraded form a 8700c to a 8800.
I have sync'd several times and everything appears OK except that I noticed that the Contacts in my desktop show 1003 contacts.
The Contacts on my 8800 show 933 contacts.
I would think they would be the same.
Any suggestions?
I have sync'd probably a dozen times now and still get the same results.
Thanks for your help.
Richard

Check your settings in 'Contacts' to see if you have 'Allow Duplicate Names' enabled or disabled.
You may have contacts with the same name and different information in Outlook. Unless your BB is set up to allow duplicate names, they won't transfer.

Default outlook calendar sync with blackberry 8830 - 09-17-2007, 07:27 AM

Hi all,

I am new here and cannot figure out how to post a new msg. Sorry. Please direct me for future posts.

I have an 8830 and previously used a palm pilot that I synched with outlook. I have dr's appts etc on my calendar from 2000. Should I keep my calendar cleaned up and deleted as I go or is it okay to leave important dates listed in my calendar. The reason for my question is that I had problems in the past with outlook synching with my palm. It would take forever to sync. Any help appreciated. I'm trying to start fresh with my new device.

Thanks much and sorry for posting in the wrong place.
Toni
