Default SEIDIO'S 1600mAH OEM-SIZED EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY FOR BLACKBERRY 8800 - 09-17-2007, 11:24 AM

Great News From Seidio!

Seidio is excited to announce the launch of our 1600mAH OEM Sized Extended Life Battery for use with the Blackberry 8800!

NOW SHIPPING!
This OEM Sized Extended Life 1600mAh battery will not only replace your current battery, but will also provide approximately 10-15% more power than the battery that initially ships with the Blackberry 8800. With this battery, you're gaining considerably longer device usability, without extending the shape of your phone. For those on the go without access to an external charging alternative, this battery is the answer.

Since this battery is compatible with the original OEM door, no extra thickness will be added on the phone.

Larger than that will probably require a humped battery cover, something I'm loath to even consider.

What is the capacity of the original battery that comes from RIM?

Does it work with the 8830? I'd imagine that it would.

I wouldn't mind the bump on the back the phone. I'd just like a 2400mAh battery...

I agree with you. IMHO, I am glad I did not wait for this one to come out. I was looking forward to their 2400mAh.

Seidio is working on 2600 mah super extended battery for BB8800. This battery will almost double the battery life as compared with stock battery.
It requires a new door. The door will extend about 4 mm out. The battery is ready, but we are still waiting for the door to be ready. I do not have ETA yet, it should be ready soon. The door may be rubberized.
