Default MicroSD Chip acting as Blackberry memory??? - 09-18-2007, 10:57 AM

I have inserted a 128MB MicroSD Chip into my 8830. Can the Blackberry use that as main memory, or can it only be used to store media files???

I only have 2 external apps on my Blackberry, and a LOT of E-Mails, and I have only about 2MB left of main memory.

The SD shows up under "Media Card", but I was hoping to get more e-mail memory out of it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The SD card can only be used for media. Can't substitute for device memory.
Can't store messages, or applications on SD.

Yes for medial files, pictures, ringtones.

Not emails, sms or applications.
