Default 8800 not stereo? - 09-21-2007, 04:33 PM

The 8800 is supposed to play back audio in stereo correct? My Left channel ain't producing... I'd hate to have to return it for that... anyone experience a dead channel on audio playback?

It plays stereo for wired headsets. Not on Bluetooth headsets. If it's not working on your wired headset then there is a problem. Try rebooting the device and making sure the headset is plugged in completely.

Are you using the OEM headphone that comes with the phone?

Not yet. I have an adapter I got for my treo that I plug my E3's into... I'll try the one that came with the phone tonite.

May be that the "ring" spacings are different on this phone than the treo - causing it to not align properly. You'd think there's be a standard for mini-jack's for mobile phones...

The only adapters that work are from

Seidioonline.com

Most of the others won't work with the BB's.

Just ordered a set for my wife and I. Ordered the adapter with built in microphone. Thanks for the suggestion JC.

Default bluetooth support for stereo - 10-03-2007, 11:45 AM

Was I dreaming or did I read somewhere that Verizon will be releasing an update that will allow stereo bluetooth support?

Is this possible or this hardware dependant?

Talking 10-04-2007, 12:20 PM

Got the adapter from Seidio. Plugged it into my 8830. Plugged my JVC noice cancelling headphones into the adapter. And listening to Jay-J in stereo right on the ol bb. Wow. Sounds very good. As good as my son's iPod or my old Creative MP3 player.

Thanks for the link JC. You da man.
