Question How do I change the area code? - 09-26-2007, 05:13 PM

Set in my phone? It's throwing a 1 in front of every call. Even local. I swear I cannot find it.

This is my first BB, I do have to say the navigation is not the easiest to get through.

Thanks for any help!

I believe if you go to the Phone module, then press the Menu key and go to Options > Smart Dialing (it may be different on the 8830. The above steps are for the 8700g; I believe it will be similar for your phone, though).

Thanks... That's where it's at. I did change it to 303, and nothing changed. I powered the phone on and of too. I guess I will try the battery now.

anyone know how to to a REAL hard reset to get it as if it were out of the box?

You didn't click menu to save, I am guessing.

Where are you? In the US, the national number length is 10

US country code is "+1"
