Default Opera Mini Beta - 09-28-2007, 08:34 PM

I have a bb 8800, and I had previously had the Opera Mini beta 4.1 and it worked fine. The last time I opened the app, it told me I could download 4.2, so I did. Now it wont connect to the internet. Any ideas why?

check your firewall settings. you may have inadvertently block it from connecting when you installed.

Also, check and make sure your APN settings are still there.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Also check to make sure your APN settings are set properly for your carrier! I loaded the new beta and had to reset my APN settings.

Forgive me my obvious ignorance, but what are my APN settings suppose to be? (I have a T Mobile BB 8800) Mine says: APN: internet.com, so is this as it is supposed to be or should there be something else?

pretty sure it should say "wap.voicestream.com" without the quotes. thats wut mine says and opera works fine.

to get there go into options, then advanced options then down in the TCP settings you'll see APN. enter them there save, and try again.
