Default Contact photos - 10-01-2007, 12:02 PM

I was wondering how I can add photos into my blackberry contacts but do it on my computer. I am using a verizon 8830 with a bes. I know I can add photos to a contact on my blackberry but that is cumbersome to do to hundreds of contacts. Is there any way of doing this on a computer?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't found a way yet, so I will be interested in the answer...

In Outlook (at least in Outlook 2003), open the contact you want to edit and choose Actions, Add Picture.

attaching a photo to the outlook contact does not show up on the BB
Neither does adding the caller id to the BB show up in outlook

It works for me. You can also just drag and drop a file to the photo portion of the Outlook record. Then, sync using the Desktop Manager. Works flawlessly for me.

Works for me in both directions.

But I'm not on BES.

FYI - In Lotus 8 and BES Project Argon they will be supporting this feature. So anyone on the BES probably won't have the ability to do this right now (at least not those using Lotus Notes).

Hope this helps.

Before when I was on BIS and I synced via the Desktop Manager all contact pictures synced. Now I have BES and sync wirelessly the contact pictures don't cut across.
