Default Cost to build in 3G?

Please Login to Remove!

Someone blogged recently that RIM had shaved off $$$ by leaving out 3G from the Javelin. I'm curious to know what 3G chippery adds to the cost of such devices.

After all, many mid/budget range Nokias now have 3G and Apple managed to reduce the price of the iPhone whilst adding 3G.

Anyone got some bill of materials data?

Im guessing it had more to do with TMO not having a full 3G network yet why give them a 3G BB if it cant take advantage of it.
