I think it's smart with what they did with the 8300 8800 series. 8800 more business oriented and the curve more user friendly, with the camera.
9000 business oriented (with less memory for games & apps)
javelin play oriented with double the ROM memory (256, right?) and a better camera.
I'm still debating which one to pick :P.

| Javelin looks like my next BB. I just hope Tmob will continue the $20/mo. BB plan with it like I have with my pearl.

| Definitely looks very nice -- worthy of being called "Curve 2", as I think Javelin is probably a codename.
Although I think I am glad I got the Bold due to 3G and the better keyboard. I find the Bold keyboard is more comfortable to type on than the Curve.

| Darn, I just got my first BB, the Curve 8330 and after reading about the Javelin and the Bold it's already feeling outdated. The good news is, now I don't have to spend big bucks right away on a Bold since I rather wait for the Javelin because of the smaller size. | | Offline

| Well, the bad news is that you are on Verizon. So should the Javelin get released on GSM late this year, you can count on 9 months minimum of wait before Verizon gets around to having it available. If you have any interest at all in getting new devices frequently and shortly after they are released, GSM is usually the way to go. But Verizon has a quality network, and they will be getting the touchscreen Thunder/Storm in a little while if you can live without a physical keyboard. | | Offline

I neef a physical keyboard, more accurate for me, plus I hate touchscreens, they are fingerprint magnets. What is GSM? | | Offline

| GSM is the cellular technology that AT&T, T-Mobile and the vast majority of the world use. Sprint, Verizon and a handful of carriers in other countries use CDMA. You cannot use handsets built for one on the other. There aren't many substantial rumors about a full-keypad CDMA device coming out too soon, so it's probably good that you're willing to wait. | | Offline
