T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 review - Engadget Mobile

Looks like they had some complaints on the Web Browser being slow even on WIFI. I currently have the Curve 8320 that I now use only for work and my personal device is a G1.

I would like to just get rid of the G1 and just use one device, but web browsing is pretty important to me.

Now I don't expect the web browsing to be as strong as the G1 but I wanted to see what your thoughts and opinion on the matter is.

Thanks!

a 4.6 device + Bolt Browser = Solid surfing of the interwebs.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

How does the 3G issue come into play?

I read their review and watched the video clip where they played with the browser. It seemed like they had JavaScript enabled which makes it chug even worse.

They also were using the WAP browser in the test, that's why the mobile versions of webpages kept loading automatically.

The person reviewing the 8900 most likely isn't an avid berry user and didn't have the "tweaks" in place before they started recording.

They also said "the back is a piece of brushed aluminum", so how competent is that? I sometimes wonder if these guys ever had the device in there hands or if they are just reviewing reviews? (Or are totally dumbasses, you don't have to be an engineer to tell the difference between aluminum and the curves back!)
