... That comes on when you charge your phone. I just noticed today that it is in the menu (I got my 89'er yesterday). Is there a way to make that clock come on my phone as a screensaver? Any advice?

We don't need no stinkin' screensaver.

Best you can do is enable bedside mode, and have bedside mode kick on when connected to power, or assign the clock app to a convenience key.

You can set bedside mode to disable the radio, disable the LED and dim, but not turn off, the backlight. Essentially, it turns the 8900 into a fancy alarm clock.

If I were to wake up somewhat during the night and see the LED flashing, I'd have to look at the message. Bedside mode turns your LED off until you unplug it and will then immediately flash if you have messages. The LED flashing and being curious what message came over, looking, isnt a good nights rest

The light/clock doesnt bother me at night but I put it face down on the nightstand also not to see it.

The dim clock works REALLY well with the charging cradle. I don't use it myself but I can see how people would use it.

Well if it turns off radio then I won't use just in case I get a call early morn.

You can turn the option on and off to disable the radio.
