I have a problem in that at&t is my carrier, and I purchaed the 8900 unlocked from ebay, with no disc to install desktop manager...and when I go through rim and put my pin ( which reflects at&t) it does not provide and option tfor 8900 as at&t does not carry at the moment.

any advise
Yes. If you follow the directions posted for OS upgrades at the top of this section, you do not need to have Desktop Manager installed on your PC.

Thumbs down Why upgrade

Why upgrade. 114 works flawlessly. Don't mess with it till T-Mobile gets around to doing all the tests, etc., so that they support an upgrade. Learned that kind of stuff the hard way over many years of wanting to be on the "cutting edge". You know how you can spot the pioneers? They are the one with the arrows in their backs!

wow! .114 battery life blows, that would be the main reason for upgrading. Also the problems your having I will almost guarantee are with DM 4.7 as this same issue was happening to a bunch of bold users when it was first released, including my self. delete DM4.7, load 4.6 and you should be good to go... If not, I guess I suck!!
