Default Media Manager freezes me out !!!

Please Login to Remove!

When i open the Desktop manager v4.7 all works fine. I connect via a USB and it recognises my device.I click on Media and so far so good. Except when i try to open the Media Manager on the Desktop Manager..
The Roxio Media Manager opens up , eventually, but the Media Manager (Desktop) goes into some form of frozen state. It looks like it has stalled completely.
The Roxio does not recognise my device and states "That no device is connected. Please connect your device to view its contents". However on the left hand side my device is there as my Blackberry and Pin number are listed.
I have an 8gb memory card installed. Is this also known as a media card?
When i double click on my Blackberry and Pin number it ask me "To insert Media Card to view contents" or similar.

Please help me and advise me how best to transfer stored pictures onto my Blackberry!!!

PS...This site has solved all my other requests so please help me keep my 100% batting average !!

In your Options-advanced-media card make sure your media card is not set to "enable mass media". Then the program should recognize the card (I assume you formatted the new card in the phone already). Personally I won't use the Roxio MM, I set my card to enable mass media and use it like an external storage device in My Computer, then drag my pix into the photo folder on the card. It's way faster than Roxio. Same with video, ringtones and music.

Personally, I do not use Roxio Media Manager. I always install the version of DM without it.

I enable Mass Storage Mode on the device, then connect the device to the PC. I then go into Windows Explorer. You should see a new drive letter and be able to access the card on your Storm that way. Drag and drop the media file you want.
