Wow, this phone is so awesome. It's everything I loved about the Curve, but faster, sharpter, brighter, everything!! The internet on my home network is so fast and the GPS is awesome!! I never would have gotten it so cheap without reading BBF, thanks guys!!

i've had it for a little over 24 hours and love the device too.

some positive points-

i, like everyone else, can't say enough great things about the screen. do yourself a favor and download some nice wallpapers, set it on slideshow, and get blown away.

the music player is incredible. i use a sansa clip (which is a highly rated mp3 player) on a daily basis and will go on say that the music player on the 8900 has better sound quality. oh, i was even using the 8900 music player with the stock earphones. i haven't even tried using my premium sennheiser earbuds or connected it to my stereo system. i can't wait.

wifi browsing using the berry browser and the bolt browser work great after a few tweaks; like turning javascripts off.

a couple negative notes-

my pc just will not detect the device. it will charge it but it can't detect the pin. the latest software i installed will detect my old pearl but not the new curve. i always seem to have this issue with a new blackberry device and although frustrating i always find a fix. for now i guess i'll put off upgrading the OS for a later time. i can use the device as a media storage so transferring pics, vids, and music isn't a problem.

while viewing pics on the screen look stunning but the video playback isn't as impressive. i know this device can play stunning vids like the john mayor sample included in the phone but i can't seem to get the vids i transfer to the phone to look as good. i tried formatting to the 480x360 res and even upped that to a higher res but still very pixelated compared to the john mayor vid. i know it's all trial and error and with the help of the BB community we'll find an acceptable conversion process.

I'm loving mine too. I've had many, and this is, by far, my favorite to date. Sweet device!

As for your pc recognizing your bb - do you have the latest desktop manager installed (v 4.7)?
