Default Using the 8900 as a modem

I know BBs can be used as a modem for your laptop, and I heard it costs $15 to set that up on Tmobile. Has anyone tried this out, and if yes what do you think? Can you make voice calls at the same time?

And most importantly, how is the speed (dslreports.com)?
