Folks,

Last night, I fell asleep while listening to music on my blackberry 8900 Curve. When I woke up this morning, the battery was completely dead.

I have put it back for charging. It has been about 4 hours now. The indicator on the top is bright green. However, my screen still does not turn on.

How long does it take for the battery to come back to life? I don't necessarily need it to be completely charged. Just enough so I can get back my screen and make some calls.

I hope there is no serious problem.

Reseat the battery and you should be good.

Should have been back on by now. Are you using the OEM wall charger or a USB or non-OEM charger? I ran my work 8830 completely down a few months ago and could not get it to recharge and turn back on until I borrowed an OEM wall charger. (I was on travel and had only taken a USB charger with me.) After recharging on that, no further problems. (And I'm more careful about running it down now, expecially on travel.)

Why was this step needed would remain a mystery but it is okay.
