Default Downgrading blackberry versions?

Hello, i need to know if it is ok to downgrade the versions of blackberry models? For example i have blackberry 9000 with v4.6.0.126, and can i update this phone using desktop manager with OS lower than this version?

I am confused by this post, it's posted in the 8900 forum, you say you have the Bold and your profile shows a Storm. Which is it?

Could be, but if this question is about the Bold it should be in the appropriate forum.
