hey guys i have no clue what i'm doing wrong. i formatted my sd card on the comp and phone and i drag and drop my pictures in using the usb cord. i can see the pics on my computer but they don't show up in the phone. what am i doing wrong?? please help.. thanks!!

Are you dragging them from the PC onto the card? If so go into your media icon, press the menu key and then select explore. Browse to where the pictures should be located.

I tried to use the Blackberry Desktop Manager and the media manager start icon/promter is greyed out and not responsive. I tried the drop and drag method but the phone would not recognize the file. Any help would be welcome...

Are you using an 8900 as this thread is referring to or a 7100 that your profile is showing?

Yes I am using the 8900. I need to change my avatar, sorry about that.

Do you have a media card?

Turn on Mass Storage Mode and connect your device to your PC. Go into My Computer and you should see your device there as a removable drive. Try copying your files that way.

Once you have your files copied over, disconnect the device and go into your Media icon. Press the menu key and select explore. You should then see the files you copied over.

Amost step by step what I did. I even dropped the file/photo's in the Picture folder of the 8900. There something Im doing wrong, I'll give it another try.

You said "but the phone would not recognize the file". That probably means that the photo file is in a format not readable by the phone. Try a jpeg file.
