When I try to connect to via WI-FI it always says "cannot find IP address" or something like that.

Any ideas what this could be.

The phone is a Rogers Unlocked phone and I am using it with FIDO as my provider, could it be as a result of this?

Are you connecting to your own router? Work router? Is it protected? What kind of protection? Have you tried connecting to any open networks? Did it work? If it is your router, have you disabled all security to test if it works as an open network? Result?

Ive tried it on many networks with the same address.

I first thought that It was the fact that the networks were locked. But then I took off all security of my home router and tried on that and it still did not connect.

Every time it says messages like "cannot connect" "connection failed" or "no ip address found"

What kind of router are you using? Is the firmware up to date?

How long have you had the phone? If its still under warranty, it might have a bad wifi antenna...if you can't get it to work on an open network, the bb could be bad, or there is a setting on the router that is preventing you access (I think this unlikely since you have tried several open and protected networks and none of them work)

Can anyone else use a wifi bb at your work or your house successfully?

I will try other blackberry's to see if the WIFI can connect.

So my WiFi does not work at home either, it says "connected" but when i try to get online it says :unable to connect to the internet. Please try again later"

the WiFi pickes up the connection, when i scan for connections it picked up 5 or 6 but with none of the green bars lit up.

I tried even getting onto the hotspot and it didnt work.

do you think there is something wrong with my BB?
