Is there a way to make new email notification to show up only on email icon and have text and MMS messages show up only on the messages icon?

Reason is that I don't necessarily check email as they come in but because family usually communicates through text messaging I do want to check those right away. With the current setup, no matter if I receive a text or an email I get alert notifications on both icons making it necessary to check to see if it's email or a text.

Can't find a way to change this is the options.

Thanks,

Yeah, I tried that exactly before I posted but that didn't do it. Still keep getting notifications in both folders/icons. Thanks for responding though!

are you using a default theme or 3rd party theme? It is highly unlikely that even after you separated emails from texts, they still populated in the same folder. Did you try a battery pull?

You will get notifications in the "Message" folder for all your email accounts that you have but SMS/MMS will not show up in the "Message" folder anymore. It will show up in the "SMS/MMS" folder

What I did was buy BerryBuzz... my SMS and phone calls are now shown with my LED blinking green whereas my emails are sent with LED blinking red and another specific email account has email that blinks purple.. now I know exactly which to read.
