so just got the 8900! love the phone so far!

setup my email and is working great!

but when it notifys me of a new email recvied.. i get an aleart on the SMS icon box and Email icon box on the home screen!!!

is there away i can make it so emails are only alearted on the Email icon? so they dont mix up with the text?

also.. is there away i can re-arrange my home screen icons? without installing a new theme?

You can "seperate" the email and SMS message into different places. Go to Message, Options, General Options, and you should see "SMS and Email Inbox". Use Seperate and you will have a seperate icon in your home screen.

In your home screen, to move icon, highlight it, then click the "menu" (blackberry logo, next to the call button), and you can select "move". then just move with the trackball and place.

BTW, you can also go to your Profile, and change how SMS or EMail alert you by TONE, VIBRATE, or nothing as well.

And then hide your email specific icon. It is not needed.
