Default Newbie: How do I make my BB generic ?

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if there is a thread somewhere but I have looked and can't find one.

I understand how to upgrade frimware ok, deleting vendor.xml, etc. but my blackberry 8900 retains my operators boot up logo and a few other things.

Is there a way to get the BB to be totally generic RIM and wipe out all the operator specific stuff ?

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Yes there is a way but you will not find the process here on BBF as it requires the use of stolen software.

If you decide to attempt be very careful you can totally ruin your BB

I would not recommending do this, because there is a risk of ruining your BlackBerry, like ezrunner stated. If you feel confident enough to go ahead with it, good luck. I don't mind having the T-mobile logo on mine, because it only show when I am booting up the phone for a few seconds.

I would not take risk of playing with the ROM.
