I heard someone say that 8900 screen is scratch resistant. Can anyone confirm? If it is, then I don't want to put my BSE on it. The screen look best without anything...

I am using BSE and they are excellent on my 8900 Javelin. Even if others say the screen is scratch protected in 8900, I would still go with BSE. It rocks and adds a layer of protection to the screen.

How much does it cost to replace a scratched screen?

Somebody posted a youtube video of scratching a BB Storm with some sharp object to show it won't scratch. It also has an almost invisible layer of screen protector on it that can actually be peeled off with some difficulty. As far as I know this only applies to the Storm, not the 8900.

don't be fooled it can be scratched, as posted before I have a scratch on an ipod touch...which is glass.

Its not, but I also wouldn't recommend getting a BSE.. There's a texture on it some may dislike.. Other brands of the same stuff can be better.

I use the shield zone screen protector. It is 15 shipped. I've used it with my BB 8700g for 3+ years.
