Smile BB8900 Set Up WiFi with sites that require registration/payment

(for short version, see below)
Just got the Curve 8900, and can share this little tip:
When going to set up for WiFi access with a WiFi site that required registration (you know, click to confirm, click to accept, click to charge to room, etc.), the 8900 got stuck in a loop on the last page of the registration, presumably when the site was trying to send me a cookie.
The method that the BBerry uses to do this is to launch a browser window ("WiFi Hotspot Login") to allow you to make these acceptances. It is apparently not the "Internet browser" or the WAP browser, but a new instance of a browser. It is set, by default, to emulate (or, in this case, be) a Blackberry browser. All I had to do to get out of this loop was to make the emulation "Internet Explorer" and, viola, I was out of the loop and connected.

Short version:
If you have trouble connecting to a WiFi site that requires authorization, when the browser is up requesting the authorization, in the browser, go to "Options", "Browser Configuration", "Browser Identification" and change to from "Blackberry" to "Internet Explorer"
Works like a charm...
