Default GPS user giude or instructions where can I find them

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Getting used to my 8900 gradually but cannot seem to get consistent results from the GPS.

This is probably because I do not understand fully.

Can anyone suggest where I can see detailed GPS instructions on how to use and its features?

Thanks.

It depends on the application you are using to access the GPS. Also, it takes a few moments for GPS signal to be received when opening one of these apps.

What seems to be the problem? Typically, you need to be outside with a clear view of the sky for GPS to lock on, at least initially or if it has been a while since the last use. It also helps if the device has an idea where you are to start with.

Using the stock BlackBerry Maps application will get you a shoddy GPS signal at best, but switching over to the far-superior Google Maps application will not only nail you on the spot with a GPS lock, but will do it quicker and more efficiently.

What do you mean by consistent results?
