Default Javelin switches off when it comes near the holster

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone,

just got the javelin was working fine until about 2hrs of using it. when you put it in or near the holster the phone switched off and I'd have to do a battery pull to get it started again. not sure what's wrong but now it won't even start up after doing a battery pull. The red LED goes on for a couple of seconds and then nothing.

any ideas?
thanks in advance

sounds like the magnetic trigger in the phone is getting "stuck" basically i would say its a hardware failure.

Wirelessly posted

Funny, I bought the OEM horizontal holster for the 8900 and could not get the sleeper function to work at all. Bought a Bold holster that works perfectly with the 8900, though.

bbf: wanna trade holsters? lol

it's not the holster though it's the actual phone. it switches off near any BB holster.
