Default I need help with backing up my data on the BB desktop manager

Please Login to Remove!

I'd like to backup my files on my Curve but I'm running into a Device Password Required pop up window. It says the following:

Device:USB-PIN: 256E8308
Please enter your device password (2/10):

The only password that I know of on my Blackberry
is the lock function. I tried that one and it won't work. Last time I tried this and I didn't guess my password after 10 tries my Blackberry did a WIPE which I don't what to do again.

Help please, what password is it looking for?

It is looking for the same password you use on the blackberry. But you need to be sure that you are using exactly the same one. For example, on my BB, I think of the password as 1234 -- but it's really wers because I don't put it into character mode when I enter it on the BB. So on my computer, I have to enter wers as the password.

If you get up to a few tries, you may also want to disconnect the BB from the computer and enter the password on the BB separately -- that should reset the password count so you won't wipe it.
