Since this remains a problem, I'm starting a separate thread.

A bug... or is it a feature? Or is this being reset by Policy?

I have BES plus 9 BIS email accounts on my Blackberry. Starting with .114, I have set the Message Options/ Email Settings/ HTML/Download Images Automatically to "NO" for all accounts.

And this setting randomly seems to reset some or all accounts to "Yes" -- not something I want because the HTML images act as spam beacons.

Just before the transition from .168 to .206, I carefully set and saved each of the accounts so the HTML/Download Images Automatically was "NO". I did the upgrade, and they were all "YES". I reset them all to "NO" and saved each setting. Then double checked.

A couple days later, several, but not all, were showing "YES". I reset them again to "NO".

Today, all of the settings were showing "YES" again. I had done a battery pull, and thought that might have done it. After resetting all the "YES" settings to "NO", saving, and double checking, I powered down, restarted, checked again, then did a battery pull. All were still showing "NO".

I then checked the Security settings, and noted that my Policy was updated yesterday. So my next step is an email to my BES admin (outsourced).



What gives?

Anyone?

My issue seems more and more tied to Policy updates.
