I've had my 8900 for about 3 weeks, and I decided to upgrade my software. Tried to run the backup with desktop manager 4.7 and keeps coming up with an error, when backing up the address book. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Yes - and it may not actually in the Address Book.

Go into Desktop Manager, Backup/Restore and click Advanced.

Clear the database called "Browser Cache" on the device.

Try the backup now.

If the Browser Cache does not work, you may need to try clearing each database 1 at a time to find the database with the error.

If it is (and it OFTEN is) the browser cache, you can also clear the browser history/cache/cookies on the blackberry before doing a backup. Do it this way you will loose you history and cookies if you were just doing a normal backup. (not upgrading)

Yeah I just asking you if you saved messages in box? You must deleted it all messages you saved. Yes i know its not easy for you. its your choice..
